December 15, 2004 As those of you who attended the Volunteer Fandango last month know, we have some cool stuff on tap this next year to make volunteering your time on the trails extra special. In particular, our friends at Specialized and Another Bike Shop have teamed-up to fund the grand prize for our recently launched Volunteer Madness II contest: a Specialized Stumpjumer 100, an $1,800 value!! Volunteer Madness II is a contest that was launched on December 1, 2004 and continues through December 1, 2005. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 individuals who come out for the most workdays during this period. In addition to the grand prize donated by Specialized and ABS, several other partners have teamed up to offer some mind-bendingly cool prizes such as iPods, iTunes gift certificates, exclusive cases of wine, and more. In addition to the Specialized Stumpjumer donation, both partners have kicked in some added benefits to our loyal volunteers. As anyone who attended the Fandango knows, Specialized donated some custom Trailworkers water bottles. And, as part of our "Five for '05" Program, Another Bike Shop will donate a free bike tune-up to any volunteer who comes out for at least five workdays in 2005, and provide a 25% discount on any parts associated with the maintenance. In return for these gracious donations, Trailworks is very pleased to announce that Another Bike Shop and Specialized have become our park sponsors for all efforts in Wilder Ranch. We extend a warm thanks to both organizations for their support. We really DO make a difference! |
