Twin Oaks Re-route - Special Thanks from the State
    March 07, 2003

Dear Chuck Wisse and Trailworkers.Com members:

On behalf of California State Parks, I wanted to personally thank you and all of the trailworkers.com volunteers that helped with the recent Twin Oaks trail realignment at Wilder Ranch State Park. I have already received several positive comments on the alignment. I recently rode the trail along with some of our staff on bike patrol and we really enjoyed riding the contours of the new trail.

As you know, we annually close the Twin Oaks trail during the winter due to the drainage problems and to protect the resource. The realignment should allow the trail to be kept open year round for the benefit of our multiple-user groups.

It is always a pleasure to have such dedicated volunteers maintaining and building the trail system at Wilder Ranch State Park. Your dedication and hard work is truly an asset to California State Parks.

    Sincerely,

    John Buchanan
    Supervising Ranger
    Wilder Ranch State Parks
